DEC PROPOSES INCREASE OF WETLANDS IN DEERPARK, PUBLIC PRESENTATION SCHEDULED BY TOWN BOARD (link to pdf press release)

DAVE DEAN APPOINTED TO DEERPARK TOWN COUNCIL

(HUGUENOT, NY) – On Monday night, the Deerpark Town Board unanimously voted to appoint David M. Dean of Sparrowbush to the vacant council seat on the board. Dean fills the seat of Karl A. Brabenec, who became the town’s supervisor in January. The appointment is to fill one year of the unexpired term. There will be a special election in November to fill the remaining year of the four year term.

“I’m very excited and honored at the opportunity to serve the residents of Deerpark in this new capacity,” said Dean. “It is a breath of fresh air to work with this fine team of individuals on the board as we look to make positive changes in the town.”

Dean has served 12 years on the town’s planning board and is a local business owner. He is married to Michele Dean and has two children.

SURPLUS SEALED BID SALE:

The town is seeking assessments on it's phone service. For more information, contact the Town Supervisor's office at 845-856-2210, ext. 1.

Quality Control and Efficency Recommendations:
Supervisor Brabenec has announced that within 60 Days he will submit a report with recommendations to the Deerpark Town Board on how to cut various costs within town government. Please check back as this report will be posted.
